Author's Pov
Morning sunlight poured through the floor-to-ceiling windows of 'Kingsley International Corporation.'
The CEO's office was unusually quiet.
Isabella Kingsley sat behind her desk, but instead of reviewing financial reports, she held an old leather-bound yearbook in her hands.
A small smile curved her lips.
Her fingers stopped on a single photograph.
A tall teenage boy stood in the front row, holding a gold trophy, surrounded by his teammates.
"Ethan Carter."
The captain of the school's football team.
The boy everyone admired.
The transfer student who had joined their school during his final years before graduation.
Isabella gently traced the edge of the photograph.
"You still haven't changed..." she whispered.
Back then, she had been a shy freshman who admired him from afar.
Ethan was two years her senior.
He was always rushing from one sports practice to another, representing the school in football, athletics, swimming, and basketball. Between competitions and training, he barely had time for regular classes.
Yet despite his popularity, he never acted arrogant.
He treated teachers respectfully.
Helped younger students when he happened to notice them.
Protected anyone being bullied without expecting praise.
To Isabella...
He had become her first silent crush.
She had memorized every match he played.
Cheered from the stands without him ever noticing.
Kept every newspaper clipping that mentioned his achievements.
But Ethan...
He never even knew she existed.
His world revolved around his studies, sports, and his closest friends.
Before she found the courage to speak to him...
He graduated.
Years passed.
Life moved on.
Yet somehow...
She never forgot him.
A soft knock interrupted her thoughts.
Sophia entered carrying a tray with coffee.
"You look happy today."
Isabella quickly closed the yearbook.
"Just remembering old school days."
Sophia smiled knowingly.
"Someone special?"
Isabella's cheeks turned a faint shade of pink.
"There... might have been someone."
Sophia laughed.
"I never imagined the great Isabella Kingsley having a schoolgirl crush."
Neither of them realized that fate was already preparing to reunite Isabella with the only man who had unknowingly captured her heart years ago.
Meanwhile
Sophia settled into her office and began organizing the morning newspapers and international business magazines.
One glossy magazine caught her attention.
The cover featured a familiar face.
"Leonardo De Luca."
'The Billionaire Who Conquered Europe Before Thirty.'
Sophia couldn't help smiling.
"He really is handsome..."
She opened the magazine.
Inside were photographs from a charity gala in Milan.
Leonardo stood surrounded by children from an orphanage, kneeling to speak with a little girl while helping her tie the ribbon on a gift box.
Another photo showed him donating millions to rebuild a children's hospital.
The headlines praised his generosity, leadership, and business achievements.
Sophia's smile softened.
"The media calls him cold... but these pictures tell a different story."
She had followed every interview, every article, and every business achievement for years.
Not because he was famous.
But because something about his quiet confidence fascinated her.
She admired his intelligence.
His discipline.
His ability to remain humble despite unimaginable success.
Without realizing it...
Her admiration had slowly become an innocent crush.
Just then, Isabella walked in.
Sophia hurriedly closed the magazine.
Isabella raised an eyebrow before laughing.
"Leonardo De Luca again?"
Sophia looked away shyly.
"I... was only reading the business section."
"Oh?"
Isabella folded her arms with a teasing smile.
"The business section that begins with his photograph?"
Sophia covered her face in embarrassment.
"I can't help it. He's inspiring."
Isabella chuckled.
"I hope you get to meet him someday."
Sophia smiled dreamily.
"I doubt someone like him would ever notice an ordinary secretary."
Neither woman knew how destiny loved proving impossible dreams wrong.

At the same time...in London,U.K
Ethan completed another successful operation with his team.
His fellow officers congratulated him.
"You never stop working, do you?" one of them asked.
Ethan smiled.
"There are too many innocent people depending on us."
His phone buzzed.
A message from his childhood best friend.
Leonardo: "Still saving the world?"
Ethan laughed.
Ethan: "Someone has to."
A few seconds later...
Leonardo: "Dinner in Milan next week?"
Ethan: "Wouldn't miss it."
Miles away in Milan, Leonardo looked at his phone and smiled.
No matter how different their lives had become...
Their friendship had never changed.
Neither of them knew that the women destined to change their lives had already carried them in their hearts for years.
And destiny...
Was finally ready to bring them together.
